ABOUT thE camp
Welcome to Spike It Volleyball Camp! Our mission is to empower young athletes to enhance their volleyball skills through a deep focus on biomechanics, technique, footwork, and teamwork. Participants will enjoy mini-games, skill challenges, game related wash drills and tournament play, all guided by experienced OVA coaches and players from Ontario's top teams and universities. Join us for an exciting and educational experience on the court!
FOUNDER/camp director
Ray Kong, a retired school teacher has been developing the sport of volleyball in the region for more than 30 years with experience coaching athletes at every level from 11U to 18U.
He has lead teams to 16 high school championships, 25+ OVA Premier gold medals, OVA Grand Prix 18U Gold, D1/T1 Provincial Gold medals x 4 times, D1/T1 Provincial Silver and Bronze, D1/T1 National Gold, Silver and Bronze medals.
Ray Kong was also given the OVA Achievement Award which is presented to an individual who has had an impact on volleyball development at the regional or provincial level for 10 years or more.

Thank you for another amazing season fo Spike It! Your dedication to your camp and your players goes above and beyond any other camp we have attended. Our daughter Lauren has learned so much and more importantly has increased her confidence in her abilities because of you and your personally selected team of motivated coaches. Thank you for everything you do to make your Spike It camp a camp that Lauren wants to return to year after year. You not only inspire her to be all that she can be but when I watch the camp at drop off and pickup you inspire me too!

Hi Ray!
You are amazing! We are so grateful for the fun culture you create and the skills you teach with such enthusiasm to the kids at Spike it camp! Coralee is loving every minute of it. She loves the intensity, the positivity, and the corrections!! She feels like she is improving immensely. She’s quite an analytical mind so she appreciates the feedback.
Thanks again for your hard work and interest in these kids! They LOVE the sport and are super loving the feedback you are providing!

Thanks again for having Maddie at Spike It. She loves the camp and always gets so much out of it. She had such a great time this year and we really saw an improvement in her playing/confidence! Also, thanks for the "80's hour"! My sister and I thought it was awesome!!!

Thanks so much for putting together the elite camp. It was fantastic! Our family have been participating in your camps for the past 7/8 years and they have always been excellent. Your love of volleyball is contagious, and the growth of your camp is a good indicator of such. This new addition to the elite camp was fantastic. The level of play was challenging and the councillors were knowledgeable and enthusiastic. It was a great week of volleyball! Thanks so much.
